HR Generalist

We are seeking a talented, forward-thinking individual to join our team as a Human Resource Generalist. The purpose of this position is to provide human resource expertise in the areas of employee relations, HR headcount, onboarding and benefits administration. We are searching for an energized “go-to” HR pro to master the following responsibilities:

  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, or government law.
  • Manage headcount in coordination with FP&A
  • Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Answers employee questions regarding benefits such as group insurance, sick and vacation leave, 401(k), worker’s compensation and other company offered benefits.
  • Oversees the maintenance and communication of employment records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
  • Responsible for on-boarding and conducting New Hire Orientations including: I-9’s, tax forms, employee agreements, explanation of benefits, Institute policies &; procedures and assist with assimilation to the organization.
  • Facilitate the exit interview and departure process for the termination/resignation of employees.
  • Coordinates Corporate Office wellness program, including speakers, materials, challenges for wellness reward and biometric screenings.
  • Assist with special projects/corporate functions including reporting, Quarterly meetings, employee wellness and training.
  • Coordinates open enrollment and data related details.  Conduct annual open enrollment meetings. Answer benefit plan questions and facilitate resolution of escalated claims investigations and disputes.
  • Assist with the administration of the 401k retirement plan including plan detail level reporting and all related employee and vendor transactions.   Manage annual 401k audit process including 5500 filing notices.  Ensures ERISA compliance and timely delivery of required
  • Audit for EEOC compliance and determine Affirmative Action Plan on an annual basis.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience considered.
  • 1-3 years experience in Human Resources or related experience.
  • Effective decision-making and communication skills are required as is the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Sense of urgency to respond to internal customers along with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Strong service orientation, positive “can do” attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to include both written and oral.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 2010, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Experience Coordinating Payroll & HR Programs For Over 200 Employees
  • Previous experience with benefits administration
  • Strong command of Federal, State and Local Labor and Wage principles, practices and guidelines
  • PHR certification is a plus
