Operations Analyst – TestRail

Position Summary:
The Operations Analyst assists in optimizing various operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This person is responsible for analyzing data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within the company's go-to-market teams.

This role reports directly to TestRail's Chief of Staff with exposure to TestRail’s leadership team. You’ll make an immediate impact on the organization by creating actionable financial analysis that ultimately drives business decisions. Given the nature of the role, you will work closely with all of our functional leads to build reports, analyze data, and provide recommendations.

You must embrace and enjoy working in a fast-paced, action-oriented culture under the umbrella of a larger supporting corporate parent (Idera, Inc.). TestRail is a challenging but rewarding environment that values performance and results while offering flexibility around schedule and geographic location (this is a fully remote position).

Key Responsibilities:
● Your mission is to ensure we are performing to plan through diligent analysis of financial results and trends, turning this data into actionable recommendations grounded in business decisions
● Report on financial performance including key SaaS KPI metrics and identify new business trends to present to the TestRail leadership team
● Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans to identify strengths and weaknesses within the business
● Create ad hoc analyses in order to assist the Customer Success, Marketing, Sales, and Product Management teams with making strategic business decisions
● Assist in month-end close processes by tracking 3rd party vendor expenses, various FX rate activities, and verifying commissions earned by our Sales team

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
● 3+ years of experience working in technical operations and/or finance (preferably in B2B SaaS)
● Extremely detail-oriented self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills
● Outstanding organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple
projects simultaneously
● Must thrive on receiving an end-state and figuring out the “how” that gets us to our goal
● Advanced knowledge of Excel
● Experience querying data with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
● Experience with technology platforms for a remote staff (shared drives, Teams, Zoom, etc.)
