We're looking for a B2B Product Marketing Specialist for our Test Automation portfolio of brands that will work within a successful and experienced marketing team to help grow the brands and strengthen their market presence. Ranorex is a leading low-code UI test automation tool that provides end-to-end testing of desktop, web and mobile applications. DesignWise is a cutting-edge test design platform that helps users deliver higher-quality software faster. Test Automation is one of the fastest-growing markets in software, and Ranorex prides itself as a leader in the market.

Our offices are located in Houston and Austin, TX; however, remote applicants may apply without a requirement for future relocation.  We are a worldwide brand, therefore, bilingual and multilingual applicants (e.g. English, German, Spanish, etc.) are highly demanded. 

This individual must embrace and enjoy working in a start-up environment with backing from a much larger entity. If you are used to complete delegation of responsibilities to others or slow rollout of programs, this is not the role for you. We are looking for a hands-on individual to drive revenue with tactical execution of our business model. The ability to multitask, adjust processes, work with both internal and external clients, and maintain a positive drive are extremely important. The ability to handle the pressure of deadlines and manage a pipeline of projects for multiple products and brands is a must.

The Product Marketing Specialist is responsible for delivering the knowledge, tools, collateral, and programs that enable effective marketing and selling of a product. Their efforts should help the company earn more revenue.

The Product Marketing Specialist will participate in each stage of marketing, including:
  • The product's price
  • Promotion plans for the product
  • Where to market the product
  • Product features and benefits for customers

The Product Marketing Specialist might communicate daily with:
  • The sales team about how to sell the products
  • Management on strategy
  • Marketing communications on advertising placement or social media marketing
  • Product development on product functionality

Day-to-day Activities & Responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis
    • Be an expert on the market including who the buyers are, how they buy and why
    • Gather and conduct market research to understand what customers want
    • Research how the company's products compare to the competition's
    • Define product positioning
    • Develop positioning and messaging to differentiate products in the market 
  • Communicate the proposition to Sales (i.e. why customers should buy) 
  • Create a plan for communicating a product's strengths through marketing channels, such as advertising
  • Create and manage programs to generate demand for the product 
  • Research and stay up to date on trending keywords and marketing innovations
  • Analyze data about various marketing initiatives to identify those with the best chance of success
  • Lead product marketing content development to support marketing initiatives
  • Develop the collateral and sales tools that support the selling process 
  • Develop and participate in marketing and product customer facing webinars
  • Definition and delivery of sales training
  • Work with management to set competitive pricing
  • Work with Product Management to define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Translate customer requirements into actions for product development
  • Be involved in creating and managing marketing budget
  • Developing and executing product launch strategies
  • Be able to handling multiple products, brands, and technologies

Key Competencies:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar or related position
  • B.S. in Marketing or Product Management or other related discipline preferred or equivalent work experience
  • PMP Certification is a plus
  • Can demonstrate technical troubleshooting and analysis ability
  • Highly organized and results-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and productively under pressure
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
  • Fundamental understanding of software development life cycle required
  • Experience in QA and test automation market is a plus
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Highly skilled with tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent technical presentation skills
  • Can demonstrate integrity, accountability, respect and commitment
